Tennessee PGA Junior Golf Academy FAQs

Can I leave camp during the week?
Once you come to camp you are committed to stay for the whole week. You are not permitted to leave the campus for any reason except a medical emergency.

I am coming with a friend, can we room together?
Roommate requests are taken on the application. We will make every effort to accommodate your request.

I am a beginner, is this camp appropriate for me?
The TN PGA Junior Golf Academy is appropriate for junior golfers of all ability levels. Experienced golfers will learn about practice habits, course management, and will fine-tune their techniques. Less experienced golfers will learn more about the fundamentals.

How much money do I need to bring to camp?
The cost of the camp is all-inclusive. Your tuition payment covers your room and board, golf, range fees, and recreation fees. You should bring some spending money (approximately $30-$40) for snacks and souvenirs.

What is the attire?

Campers are required to wear Bermuda length shorts or slacks. Jeans and cut-offs are not acceptable. Campers are requested to wear collared golf type shirts. Golf shoes are not required, and in fact, many campers choose to wear tennis shoes. If golf shoes are worn, they must have non-metal spikes.

How are golfers paired into their instruction group?
Once you arrive at camp you will be given a skills test that will allow the camp staff to appropriately group you with other golfers of similar ability level.  In order for you to have the best camp experience possible, we are not always able to pair you with your friends for lessons.  There are plenty of opportunities for you and your friends to spend time together.  It would not be fair to students to pair them in an inappropriate lesson setting.  It would be too elementary or too advanced and not be a good situation for the student, teacher or other students in the group.

Is the Academy capable of accommodating special dietary needs?
Yes, we can accommodate your special dietary needs.  Let us know your needs when you fill out your application.

When do I pay my balance?
The balance is due two weeks before your arrival date.
